Announcements for November 20, 2014
Good morning, Vikings! Today for lunch you can choose from Hawaiian Haystack, Chef Salad, Rib-a-Que Sandwich, Chicken Patty Sandwich, or Pizza. The Trivia Question for this week is: Which planet is nearest to the sun? Please submit your answers in the Media Center. Business Club, FBLA is collecting stuffed animals for Project Teddy Bear. This is a great service project we can all be involved in. The stuffed animals will be donated to the Family Support Treatment center and the Pleasant Grove police station. We will have a contest to see who can bring the most clean, gently used or new stuffed animals to the front office. First place prize will be an I Pod Shuffle. Other prizes will also be given! We will be collecting these animals in the front office from now until Monday Dec. 15th. Lots of us have tons of stuffed animals at home, get them out of your room and give them to someone who needs them. Search your house and bring them in! Today the Girls Basketball Team will be playing here against Timberline at 3:00pm. Come and watch the game and support the team. Don’t forget to bring your dollar to buy a sucker from the PTSA. Remember, if you are a 9th grader in the Drama Productions class next semester, your money for the Utah Theatre Conference is due next Tuesday. come see Mrs. Porter if you have any questions. This is a message about the Lost and Found. All the coats and jackets and clothing in the Lost and Found will be donated to Deseret Industries during Thanksgiving Break. If you have lost a coat or jacket, please come to the front office and ask to check the Lost and Found, but please come soon. Everything will be donated over Thanksgiving Break. Our Viking Value of the Week is Initiative. The dictionary defines initiative as “The ability to begin or follow through with a plan . . .the first step or action.” Every great thing has a beginning step and then a dedicated follow-through. Do amazing things; capture worthy goals, by just beginning and then working towards them. You’ll be glad you did! Have a Thrilling Thursday Vikings! Teachers, please have a student lead your class in the Pledge of Allegiance at this time.
