All woodshop projects from Mr. Myers’ last semester class should be picked up and taken home immediately. Please pick them up and take them home today!

To all of NEXT YEAR’S 8th and 9th graders: If you are interested in being on Pleasant Grove High School’s cross country team next year, there will be a meeting May 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the C gym of the high school. Flyers will be available at the junior high next week.

There is an all-star basketball hoop camp June 3rd through 6th, Monday through Thursday for 8th, 9th, and 10th grade boys. Cost is $70. Get a camp t-shirt and basketball. This is sponsored by Pleasant Grove High School’s Varsity Basketball Staff and Varsity Players. Learn how to master the fundamentals that make a great player. If interested, grab a flyer in our front office.

Come join the award-winning Shakespeare Competition Team information meeting for next year’s team to be held Thursday, May 23rd, after school in the drama room. We will be taking a team down to Cedar City next October to compete in Shakespeare monologues and scenes. Come to the meeting to find out what this competition is all about and what you can do during the summer to prepare for auditions next school year.

If you are interested in joining Pleasant Grove High School’s Mountain Biking Club, get a flyer in our front office.

Track athletes who have not returned their jersey need to do so immediately to Coach Hudson. If you have not returned your jersey to Coach Hudson by TODAY, Friday, May 17th, you will be placed on the fine list.

Our Viking Value of the week is Valiant. To be valiant is to be courageous and honorable. Stand by your beliefs and values and be brave about it. Be a valiant person. It will bless your life.

Lagoon Day will be Friday, May 24th, for 9th graders who qualify. Students may lose the privilege to attend Lagoon Day for serious discipline or attendance problems or if they are failing a class during the 4th term. Anyone with 6 or more tardies during 4th term cannot go to Lagoon. Cost is $30. Pay online at www.myschoolfees.com or in finance office. Each student MUST HAVE A PERMISSION SLIP completed and signed in order to be allowed on the bus. Payments and permission slips MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE FINANCE OFFICE by Wednesday, May 22nd, at 3:00 p.m. in order to be able to go to Lagoon.

Pleasant Grove High School is sponsoring a summer driver’s education session which begins Tuesday, May 28th. You will need your Learner’s Permit and $135 and you pre-register at the high school. There will also be an August session. See the high school for details.
