Announcements for November 25, 2014

Good morning, Vikings!  Congratulations to the Boys Basketball Team!! They played Spanish Fork yesterday and won.  The score was 58 to 37.  Their next game is Tuesday, Dec. 2nd at Lakeridge.  The Girls Basketball Team will also be playing Lakeridge on Dec. 2nd, here in our gym at 3:00pm.  Today for lunch you can choose from Soft Shell Taco, Chef Salad, Turkey/Ham & Cheese Sandwich, Chicken Patty Sandwich, or Pizza.  Hey Vikings! It’s the most wonderful time of the year again! Yep, Angel Tree! Have you ever given Christmas away to someone who wouldn’t have it otherwise? It’s time to adopt an angel! We have 75 angels we need to have adopted before December 5. Angels can be adopted starting December 1 in Ms. Reid’s room. Come adopt an angel and have the best Christmas ever!  FCCLA Members, remember to come after school today, Tuesday, Nov. 25 for treats and decorating Angel Tree in Ms. Reid’s room.  Business Club, FBLA is collecting stuffed animals for Project Teddy Bear.  This is a great service project we can all be involved in.  The stuffed animals will be donated to the Family Support Treatment center and the Pleasant Grove police station.  We will have a contest to see who can bring the most clean, gently used or new stuffed animals to the front office.  First place prize will be an I Pod Shuffle.  Other prizes will also be given!  We will be collecting these animals in the front office from now until Monday Dec. 15th.   Lots of us have tons of stuffed animals at home, get them out of your room and give them to someone who needs them. Search your house and bring them in!  Remember, if you are a 9th grader in the Drama Productions class next semester, your money for the Utah Theatre Conference is due today.  Come see Mrs. Porter if you have any questions.  This is a message about the Lost and Found.  All the coats and jackets and clothing in the Lost and Found will be donated to Deseret Industries during Thanksgiving Break.  If you have lost a coat or jacket, please come to the front office and ask to check the Lost and Found, but please come soon.  Everything will be donated over Thanksgiving Break.  Our Viking Value of the Week is Character.  One dictionary defines it as “the stable and distinctive qualities built into an individual’s life which determine his or her response regardless of circumstances.”  Good character is moral strength and integrity and  is more likely to help you succeed in life and help you be happy.  Have a Terrific Tuesday Vikings!  Teachers, please have a student lead your class in the Pledge of Allegiance at this time.
