Eligibility to Participate in End of Year Activities

To be eligible to participate in the end of year 7th Grade Party, 8th Grade Completion Ceremony and Party, and 9th Grade Lagoon Day:

  • you cannot be failing any 4th quarter classes,
  • you must have appropriate behavior, and
  • you cannot have excessive tardies
  • There are also additional qualifications that need to be met for the 8th Grade Completion Ceremony and Party.

9th Grade Lagoon Day

Wednesday, May 27.

Cost $35.  

You can pay online at myschoolfees.com or at the Finance Office beginning May 1st. School fees must be paid in order to go to Lagoon Day. You must have a Permission Slip completed and signed in order to board the bus.  The Permission Slip is available at the Finance Office.


Before May15.  

Cost will go from $30 to $35 on the 15th.  

You can purchase one online at myschoolfees.com or at the Finance Office. School fees must be paid in order to buy a yearbook.

School Fees are Past Due

If you have not paid your student's school fees, please pay now at myschoolfees.com or at the Finance Office.  School fees must be paid in order to go to 9th Grade Lagoon Day or to purchase a yearbook. ,Fee waiver is available to those who qualify.  The fee waiver application is available at the Finance Office or from the district website at this link.  Please call the Finance Office if you have any questions. Announcements for April 24, 2015

Good morning, Vikings!  The Production class showcase will be performed on Thursday, April 30th at 7:00pm in our auditorium. Students will be performing the awesome scenes, monologues and musical numbers that they have prepared and directed themselves. Admission is FREE! Come support your Vikings!  Congratulations to .. for earning their Microsoft Word certifications. And to .. for earning his Microsoft Access certification.  Please come to the Front Office to get your certificate.  Today for lunch you can choose from Teriyaki Chicken & Rice, Crispy Chicken Salad, Turkey/Ham & Cheese Sandwich, Chicken Patty Sandwich, or Pizza.  A Huge congratulations to four of our students. They won first at the FBLA state competition and are now going to Chicago for a week in June. We are so proud of them and excited to have them represent our school at the National FBLA conference.  Does this sound fun?  It could be you next year winning a fabulous trip! Plan on joining FBLA.  Also, our next great activity is Lazer Tag.  FBLA members, please come to Mrs. Twiggs’ room today for Flex. We will be planning our fun Lazer Tag party today. We are going next Friday night May 1 at 6:30 to Lazer Assault with the High School FBLA club. It will be lots of fun.  We also have tickets to go to Lagoon.  Make sure and come today to find out all the fun info for the end of the year activities.  See you in 90 minutes!!  This week’s Trivia Question was “In which state is Fort Knox?”  The answer is Kentucky.  The answer chosen from all the correct answers submitted is . .!  Please come to the Front Office for a prize.  If you are interested in trying out for the Pleasant Grove High School Ballroom Team please come to the Front Office and pick up a flyer.  Tryouts are coming up on April 29th and 30th.  Hi 7th and 8th Graders.  Anyone interested in being an officer for the TSA club next year can pick up an application from Mr. Reynolds in room 100.  The Technology Student Association is a club for those who like all kinds of technology, from digital to manufacturing.  Applications are due by May 1st, so get them in quickly.  TSA will also be having a kendama competition for our closing social on May 8th from 4 to 6 pm.  Everyone is invited to come and join us.  There will be food and fun.  If you are not a member of TSA, but would like to come participate in the kendama competition you can pay $2 to the finance office and bring your receipt to Mr. Reynolds to sign up.  PG High School Cheer Tryouts begin this Monday the 27th and go through Thursday the 30th.  To tryout every participant needs to pick up and complete a tryout packet found in the front office.  Our Viking Value of the Week is Reliable.  To be reliable is to be dependable. You do what you say you’ll do and what is expected of you. You are trustworthy. People know they can count on you.
