Chalk the Block!

This is the final "Chalk the Block" picture by Ms. Beatty's 8th and 9th grade students; B.E., A.F., A.G., A.M., K.T., E.S., and A.W. They were the only Junior High team at this event and represented Pleasant Grove Junior High amazingly. Thank you to all who came and supported their effort at this event.

Road Construction!

We were recently notified by the city that they need to replace the main water line that is on 300 East (the road directly east of Pleasant Grove Junior High). The line will be replaced from 600 North to 1000 North. Construction will begin on Tuesday, September 16th and construction will last around 1 month. During this month, the city will have certain portions of the road shut down to traffic. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the 16th and 17th, the east entrance to the school will be closed. You will have to access our south parking lot from 100 East during those two days. Also, for those students who live in the neighborhoods east of the school, we encourage you as parents to encourage your students to stay out of these construction areas as you walk to and from school and only use the designed crossing zones as students cross 300 East.

Sincerely, Administration Pleasant Grove Junior High

Come to School!

Good morning, Vikings!  Today for lunch you can choose from Soft Shell Taco, Chef Salad, Turkey/Ham & Cheese Sandwich, Chicken Patty Sandwich, or Pizza.  Hey Vikings! Today is the first Phase of the Jr. Viking Leadership Academy. For those who have signed up it will begin in Room 106 right after school. Come sail into great leadership! Remember that’s today after school in Mrs. Manuela’s room.  Open gym for those interested in playing girls basketball will be Wednesdays from 3:00 – 4:00 in the girls gym.  Our Viking Value of the Week is Diversity. The dictionary defines diversity as “the quality of being diverse or different; variety.” People are different from one another in regards to nationality, language, intellect, the way they look, think, act, and in other ways. Always be tolerant and celebrate the differences in all of us. It adds variety and perspective to our lives and helps us grow.  Have a Terrific Tuesday Vikings!  Teachers, please have a student lead your class in the Pledge of Allegiance at this time.
