Every Child Matters!

April 18, 2014

Good morning, Vikings!

This is for anyone who is going to be in 7th, 8th, or 9th grade next year: There is a Pleasant Grove high School Youth Soccer Camp that runs June 2nd through June 5th from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Cost is $50. If interested, grab a flyer in the front office!

If you are interested in trying out for Pleasant Grove High School cheerleader, please get a packet in the front office. Tryouts are NEXT WEEK!

For those who participated in Photography Club with Ms. Lott, your photos are ready to be picked up in her room, room 231.

There will be no track practice today. Track meet results and who qualified for Alpine Days will be posted Monday.

Penny Wars continues. Bring your pennies to your A1 teacher. All pennies count positive. Any other coins count negative. The A1 class that has the highest positive total will win a party!

Today the talent show will be in the auditorium during FLEX.

For this year’s 9th graders going into 10th grade next year who are registering, you will need your Skyward login.

The next round of Project Citizen will begin next Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in Mr. Spence’s room. It will continue each Tuesday for the remainder of the school year. Those who have questions about this great student service after-school program may contact Mr. Spence.

This is for all students. For all end-of-year activities, including Lagoon, you must be passing all of your classes, have good attendance, and have no behavior problems. So start working on it now! We want everyone to be able to attend.

Art show entries are due to Ms. Beatty or Ms. Lott today. We can submit 10 2D art and 10 3D art as a school. We know we have wonderful artists. So let’s get those entries in today!

To all 9th grade students: Did you forget to order a 9th grade hoodie? For a short time, 9th grade hoodies and t-shirts are available again. Pick up an order form in the front office or outside the finance office. Orders MUST be returned to the finance office by April 21st!

Viking Value of the Week is CHARACTER. Webster’s dictionary states that character is “a distinguishing feature or attribute. (It is) moral strength, integrity.” Have good qualities at your very heart. Then it will be awesome to be you!
