Announcements for January 26, 2015

Good morning, Vikings!  Today for lunch you can choose from Chicken Tenders, Crispy Chicken Salad, Hamburger, Chicken Patty Sandwich, or Pizza.  “Come see “Bye Bye Birdie” this Thursday, Friday and Saturday Night at 7:00 pm.  There will be an additional performance Saturday at 2:00 pm as well.  Tickets are $4 for students, $5 for adults and $20 for an immediate family pass.”  This announcement is for all students.  Our PGJH   T-shirt design order forms are ready.  Make sure to pick up an order form in the front office if you are interested in ordering a PGJH  T-shirt.  The shirts will only be $5.50. Get a shirt and show your Viking Pride!  Pleasant Grove Junior High is hosting its 2nd annual Battle of the Bands on March 5 & 6, 2015. Battle of Bands is a contest in which two or more bands compete for the title of “best band”. The winner is determined by a panel of judges. All bands are eligible such as garage bands, jazz bands, country bands, etc. So get your band together and start practicing!  Watch for more details later.  Hey there FBLA members we are going on our second field trip this Friday to Inkcredibles! We are going to be learning about printing t-shirts and designing our FBLA T-shirts. Make sure to turn in your permission slip before Friday!  We are also going to Adobe next month so make sure you are coming EVERY Friday during flex in Mrs. Twiggs room.  Don’t miss the fun!  “Welcome to the end of winter.  Track is about to begin!  There will be an information meeting on February 10th, after school in the gym.”  Do you love reading? Do you love good food?  Come join the Book Café.  Talk about your favorite books and eat treats with your friends.  Come to Ms. Baltich’s Room on Tuesday, Jan. 27th after school from 3:00-4:00.  Hey 9th Grade Girls, Are you interested in playing Girls Softball? If you are interested, the High School Girls Softball Team is hosting Open Gym times in preparation for tryouts that begin on February 25th.  Please come to the front office to get a flyer for more information.  Are you interested in playing Boys Soccer Tryouts for all 9th Grade Boys interested in playing on the High School Boys Soccer team are coming up.  There will be a meeting on Thursday, February 5th, at 4:00pm at the High School for parents and players.  Please come the front office and get a flyer for more information.  The Trivia question for this week is “How many times zones are there in the world?”  Please submit your answer in the Media Center.  All 9th grade Girls wanting to participate on the High School Girls Golf Team should attend a player parent meeting on Wed. Jan 28 at the High School Media Center at 6:00pm.  Our Viking Value of the Week is Teamwork.  Alone a person can do a little. But when others help and everyone cooperates and acts as a team, miracles can happen and the workload seems lighter. Everyone has strengths. If each person on the team adds their strength, it makes a strong team. Be cooperative. Pitch in and help. Be a force for good wherever you are.  Please come to the front office for a gift.  Have a Marvelous Monday Vikings!  Teachers, please have a student lead your class in the Pledge of Allegiance at this time.
