Announcements for March 27, 2015

Good morning, Vikings!  Today for lunch you can choose from Teriyaki Chicken, Crispy Chicken Salad, Turkey/Ham & Cheese Sandwich, Chicken Patty Sandwich, or Pizza.  Our Track Team will be competing at Orem High today, it starts at 2:00.  Go Vikings!!  FBLA members, there will be no FBLA meeting today in Mrs. Twiggs room.  Come next week. We will be planning our Lazer Tag party with the High School FBLA chapter. The party will be on Friday May 1st. Save the date.  More info. later.  See you next Friday for our FBLA meeting.  Hey FCCLA Members! It’s time for our March Madness Knowledge Bowl. Come today during FLEX for food, friends, and a lot of fun!  If you are interested in being an Officer for FCCLA next year, applications are available in Ms. Reid’s room. Applications are due Friday, April 3, BEFORE Spring Break! Get them in as soon as possible!  This is a reminder for all students.  To participate in the end of year 7th Grade Party, 8th Grade Completion Ceremony and Party, and 9th Grade Lagoon Day; you cannot be failing any 4th quarter classes, you must have appropriate behavior, and you cannot have excessive tardies.  The Talent Show is coming up!!  Sign up April 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, outside of Mr. Manning’s Room.  The Trivia question for this week is “What is the nickname for the state of Montana?”    The answer is the Treasure State.  The answer chosen from all the correct answers submitted is . . . . . . . .ALLISON HALL!!  Please come to the office for a prize.  Our Viking Value of the Week is Courtesy.  Courtesy is polite behavior that shows respect for other people. Be kind and positive with people. It will help you make friends and others will respect you.  Have a Phenomenal Friday Vikings!  Teachers, please have a student lead your class in the Pledge of Allegiance at this time.

 

Important Dates and Things to Remember

  • 9th into 10th Registration:
    March 30 and 31 (Monday and Tuesday) – PGHS will meet with your 9th grade student during their Wld. Civ. class in our Pleasant Grove Jr. High auditorium providing important registration information, materials, and internet how-to instructions.  Parents are welcome to attend.
    April 14 (Tuesday) – PGHS will be hosting two additional pre-registration meetings (6:00-6:50 pm and 7:00-7:50 pm) in the chorus room at the high school for those parents who weren’t able to attend the pre-registration meetings at the Jr. high with their student.
    April 16 (Thursday) – PGHS course registration opens via the internet at 3:30 pm.  A limited number of computers will be available for student use at PGHS (3:30-5:30) and PGJHS (3:30-4:30). The students will have to be logged in with their own student Skyward  login and password (cannot be logged in as a parent).
